A wonderful find can be seen in the dining room of the Hotel, where a piece of greek wall made of voussoirs was uncovered. These voussoirs were utilized by the Romans to erect the wall of the Naumachia, an example of Roman architecture thai is second in importance only to the Theatre. Open all year round, the Isabella represents a safe and elegant shelter in any moment, placed in the hearth of Taormina, at a few steps from the Greek-Roman Theatre. Its history goes back to 1964, when it was named as La Casa del Corso, whose owner was the well-known family Bambara. Opened as hotel in 1980, it has been completely renovated and enlarged in 1990 when the same owner family Bambara De Luca decided to take care of its launch by setting it up under the teaching of three generations of Taormina hoteliers.

PositionIn order to easily reach by car the hotel, placed in a pedestrian area, there’s a public parking called ‘Lumbi’ daily connected with a free town shuttle bus. Once on the shuttle bus, guests have to stop at Porta Messina gate and in five minutes by feet they will arrive in front of the Hotel entrance on the Corso Umberto.
